HEC Montréal is recognized as a world leader in business education. HEC professors maintain high standards of excellence both in their teaching and in their research. The school offers a wide variety of business programs at the undergraduate and at the graduate levels, as well as some certificate programs. The main language of instruction at HEC is French; however, there are also programs and courses offered in English and in Spanish.
The Department of Human Resources Management has openings for professors beginning June 1, 2009.
Candidates must either have a Ph.D., or be near completion of a Ph.D. in Human Resources Management, specialized in Conflict Management, or a closely relevant discipline. Teaching excellence is required, as well as a strong aptitude for research and a marked interest for publication. Candidates must be completely at home in a technological environment and be well-acquainted with the most up-to-date software applications used in contemporary business. Finally, they must demonstrate an ability to communicate specialized knowledge both at public conferences and in writing. Recent conferences and publications will attest to this ability.
Candidates must forward a full curriculum vitæ with covering letter, specifying citizenship, before October 15, 2008. The application could also include one or two publications, teaching evaluations as well as a statement regarding the applicant's skills in French.
