Director & Professor for the Institute for Nonprofits
The Institute for Nonprofits at North Carolina State University invites applications for a Director and Professor, with research and teaching interests focused on nonprofit organizations, broadly defined. The successful candidate will be appointed as a tenured full professor in one of the departments participating in the search: Communication, English, History, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Social Work, and Sociology and Anthropology. The primary duties of the position involve leading and administering the Institute. The Institute’s work is consistent with the land-grant Doctoral/Research-Extensive mission of NC State, including research, teaching, and engagement activities that emphasize application, outreach, and collaboration with the nonprofit sector. Applicants must have an earned doctorate, experience and scholarly credentials commensurate with appointment at the Full Professor rank. Candidates may come from any appropriate disciplinary or multi-disciplinary background. Demonstrated administrative experience and success in securing external funding are important.
