Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business is seeking applications and nominations for a tenure-track faculty member in the Institute of International Business, to begin Fall 2007. The appointment for this position is expected to be at the rank of Professor or Associate.
Applications are particularly invited from individuals that have an exceptional record of achievement.
The individual selected will take a leading role in the growth and development of the Institute. The successful candidate for this position will have an earned doctorate, a research and teaching record primarily in international business, an international reputation, and a strong published research record. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to develop and work with others in defining and conducting meaningful research and mentoring junior faculty. A history of initiating and obtaining external funding is preferred.
Georgia State University has been recognized as one of the most diverse campuses in the nation with a student body representing almost 50 countries. The Robinson College of Business is located in the heart of a vibrant, dynamic international community which includes a growing umber of US and foreign firms' headquarters, a strong consular corps and many other government agencies. As a business school, the Robinson College boasts an enrollment of over 7,000 students, making it one of the largest in the country. The Institute of International Business has a diverse, collegial faculty of eleven faculty members across all academic ranks. The Institute interacts frequently with other academic departments for multidisciplinary teaching, research and executive education activities.
The Institute is a degree-granting unit of Robinson College, offering core and elective courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, a major in the "Top-Ten" ranked Flex-MBA program and a Masters of International Business. The Institute is also a primary contributor in the College's Global Partners MBA Program. The Institute oversees extensive outreach activity, including the Center for Global Business Leadership, the Global Business Leaders Roundtable, mentor programs, many study abroad programs, third-party grant activity, and international institutional partners.

The position is contingent on final budget approval by the University.
