Fulbright Opportunities in Peace Studies

Posted: 18 May 2006

There are several opportunities to lecture and/or conduct research in Asia through the Fulbright Scholar program in the field of Peace Studies and Global Issues in 2007-08.

Please see the Featured Awards pages on Korea and the Philippines at http://www.cies.org/moreawards.htm. More information on awards in Asia/Pacific countries can be found at: http://www.cies.org/award_book/award2007/area2.htm#Eas.

Please keep in mind that Fulbright awards are for US citizens and the Peace Studies and Global Issues awards both require university teaching experience. To apply for the 07-08 competition, visit: http://www.cies.org/us_scholars/us_awards/application.htm

Also, if you have had a Fulbright grant in the past, a message on newly adopted eligibility guildelines from the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board can be found at http://www.cies.org/message1.htm. The application deadline for grants in the 2007-08 academic year is August 1, 2006. You are welcome to contact us at any time with questions you have about the awards or application. If you are not considering making an application this year but know someone else who would benefit from a Fulbright opportunity, please feel free to forward this message on. Please be in touch with any questions to Mamiko Hada mhada@cies.iie.org
