The Department of Marketing in the College of Business Administration at The University of Akron invites applications for an assistant, associate, or full professor of Marketing. This tenure track position will start in August 2005.
All qualified candidates will need to demonstrate teaching specialties in three of the following areas: Business Negotiation, Professional Selling, Sales Management, Marketing Strategy, eBusiness, eMarketing, Database Marketing or Direct Interactive Marketing. A Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely allied area of study from a recognized and established university is required.
The successful candidate for an assistant professorship must be able to provide the search committee with evidence of:
- ability to publish in respected academic journals,
- meaningful and successful classroom experiences,
- relevant university, professional, and business involvements, and
- a demonstrated commitment to student success.
The successful candidate for an associate or full professorship will be expected to demonstrate an established and continuing record of journal publications, classroom performances, professional involvements, and business experiences consistent with the desired academic rank.
