Vanderbilt Negotiation Project Launched

Professor Ray Friedman, Associate Professor at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University, has launched the Vanderbilt Negotiation Project, a web based negotiation research tool located at http://www.vanderbilt.edu/negotiation/. The project represents the first-ever attempt to collect longitudinal data from experienced negotiators around the world as they negotiate.

The site asks participants to fill out three journal entries during an in-depth negotiation, as well as a pre-negotiation entry. In return, it provides participants with feedback on their personality scores and a set of graphs tracking their responses to the negotiation over time. The site collects a wide range of information, including negotiation strategy, relationship with the other party, stress, and conflict management style.
